Overview
Worked 3 days per week in office, 2 days working from home. Mostly worked on Hondas direct to consumer IT project. Spending the majority of my time supporting testing. Taking opportunities to network out and explore other smaller projects where I could. A large part of this role was replacing myself with a new undergrad. This aspect of the job was particularly outstanding as I learnt alot about the recruitment process and even got to experience life on the other end of the stick.

Responsibilities
Accepted into the division as though I was another employee of the same qualification as anybody else at Honda. Took part in important work and was given the opportunity to take ownership of outcomes and decision making on aspects of the project. Recruitment process was managed entirely by undergrads supported and consulted by management when needed.
Support & Guidance
Received as much support as needed. Training and onboarding was Provided at the beginning of my placement. Regular one to one development meetings with my manager occured throughout the year.
Culture
Honda was certainly a fantastic place to work and Japanese culture and ways of working shines through. Atmosphere was always suitable and the space to collaborate in the office was always available and I never had any issues throughout the year.
Your Impressions
I had a brilliant year and enjoyed my time here with Honda thoroughly. The work was always interesting and relevant and meaningful. The workload fluctuated form quieter periods to heavier more intense depending on the project(s) and their respective phases.

Enjoy the interview and assessment center process. Its run by undergrads and supported by management. Try and turn your interviews into back-and-forth conversations with the interviewers. come to your interviews with questions prepared!
