Day-to-Day, my role consists of a variety of tasks, for example, inbox management, HR system management, recruitment requests, forming business communications, monthly business update slides, long service awards, private healthcare schemes, management reports and payroll.

During my HR placement, I developed my communication and interpersonal skills by working with employees and managers daily. I also gained hands-on experience with HR systems which I can easily apply later on. I have supported with recruitment processes from interviews to writing contract of employments allowing me to work on my attention to detail. Furthermore, I have had the chance to develop my excel skills widely, whether this be formulas or creating pivot tables. Overall, the placement helped me grow professionally and apply my academic knowledge in a real-world setting.

I was given a large amount of responsibility throughout my placement year. I really felt like I was a part of the team and was able to make a meaningful impact. The role felt more like a permanent position than a typical 西瓜视频 placement, and the responsibility I was given played a key role in how much I鈥檝e learned and grown over the year.

From the start of my placement year, I鈥檝e received exceptional support from my manager, immediate team, and the wider HR department. I had a thorough three-week handover with the previous undergraduates, which gave me a solid understanding of the role. My manager has been consistently approachable, always available to answer questions, review my work, and actively support my development throughout the placement.

Hondas company culture is heavily focused on their core philosophy, the three joys and respect for the individual which you can see in everyones work. Everyone is very friendly and willing to help.

I have had the best experience at my placement year at Honda. I found it to be a valuable and rewarding experience that allowed me to apply my academic knowledge in a practical setting, develop key HR skills, and grow both professionally and personally. The supportive team environment, variety of tasks, and opportunities to take on real responsibility made the experience both engaging and fulfilling. I could not recommend this placement experience more to anyone looking to go into HR.
