    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Day-to-day the role involves regular scheduling of posts on Honda Europe social platforms, support with planning social shoots and content and supporting with the finances of the teams' activities. As a European role, providing support to all of Honda's markets in Europe is a key element to the role.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • Office skills such as Microsoft applications, email and meeting etiquette are all key to the role and so are built on throughout the year massively. Communication skills and project management are also improved and exercised.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • During my role, I was given a great level of responsibility. My team treated me as a member of the team rather than an undergrad which meant that I was given many opportunities to manage my own projects throughout the year including the planning of social content created and the posting schedule as well as social shoots among many other activities.

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • My team were always available to provide support or answer any questions I had, creating an environment where I was comfortable to ask for support at any point. Whilst I was provided with many responsibilities, I was always able to reach out for guidance if needed.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Honda's general atmosphere is very friendly, with many associates having worked in the business for a number of years this felt like everyone was invested in the long-term performance of the business. Having been exposed to associates across the whole business internationally I can say that this is true for the whole of the business.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I enjoyed my placement thoroughly. The year provided me with a great level of experience to begin my career following university and strengthened so many skills that I know will be crucial to my future endeavors. With placement 西瓜视频s working throughout the business, this provides a great network of people who are in the same position as you and offers social opportunities which can help to integrate smoothly into the role.

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to Honda Motor Europe
  • Honda is a people company so be personable and friendly. Remember that you are there for you just as much as you are there for the team, make the most of your year and take as many opportunities as you can. Chances are if you mention something you'd like to learn more about, your team will try to make it happen. It's ok to make mistakes you're just beginning your journey but don't come away feeling like you could have done more. Make the most of the year it goes faster than you can imagine.
