Accounting - month end routines, including file set-up and the accurate preparation, and reconciliation of payments into accounting systems.Preparation of analysis for the monthly financial reports review. Balance Sheet reconciliation. Prepare reconciliations to test the accuracy of the new system. Assist with cost centre accounting and reporting. Assist with budgeting and forecasting. Support the Department Manager with internal and external audits. Data analysis. Assist in other areas of Finance, as needed Assist with ad hoc project work in the finance area, i.e. Excel training, Monthly Discussion of Finance topics. Administer all Treasury deals into the Treasury Management System and the processing and banking of cheques received company receipts including Vehicle disposal (auction) receipts and Collection Agency receipts. • Monitor daily cash flow and forecasting to identify borrowing requirements. • Work with month end routines, including file set-up and the accurate preparation, and reconciliation of payments into accounting systems and support the Department Manager with internal and external audits

I have developed and imporved my existing skills throughout the placment. For instance, presentation skils, communication skills - written and verbal. Time management skills, ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. Problem solving skills and analytical skills in numeric problems. Critcal thinking. I developed great technical skills using software such as excel, SAP, Banking etc. Gaining industry knowledge as well as accounting knowledge.

Yes I had the opportunity to lead and participate in various projects / presentations as well as important daily/ monthy tasks.

Yes, I felt well-supported during my placement. My colleagues were approachable and always willing to offer guidance, which made a big difference in my learning experience. There were good documents that guided work tasks

II really enjoyed my placement at Honda. It was a valuable learning experience that gave me practical, hands-on exposure to the industry.
