Overview
As the Brand Management Intern for the All Suites and Focused Service Brands at Hilton, I work with brand strategy and positioning, the guest experience, marketing and storytelling, performance tracking and innovation, franchisee and owner relations, and with cross-functional collaborations. My work in mainly project and events based, with additional administration tasks and data collection/analysis.
Skills
I have hugely developed my organization, ability to work under pressure, and my initiative. I have learned how to prioritize, and how to carry myself in a professional environment.
Responsibilities
There were times during my internship that I didn't even feel like an intern - my team really welcomed me in, and gave me my own responsibilities and projects from the beginning.
Support & Guidance
I couldn't have asked for better support during my internship; my manager was incredible and the guidance they provided me with was invaluable. My wider team were also a huge part of my growth, no question being silly, and always pushing me to develop and be the best version of myself.
Culture
The company culture was AMAZING!! Everyone was so welcoming and smiley when we joined, and there is always something going on in the office, whether a social event or a networking opportunity. I have had so much fun and I will miss the positive energy every day.
Your Impressions
Enjoy would be an understatement. I have had a blast at Hilton, and have made relationships (professional and personal) that I will nourish going forward. There has not been a day where I have not felt passionate or motivated about my work.
Yes
I would say, make sure to highlight your extra-curriculars on your CV/in an interview. They allow you to bond with whoever is interviewing you, and give them an insight into who you are as a person.
