    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • • Assist with the strategy, development, and execution of our marketing and transactional email campaigns and mobile In App Messaging and push, using Braze, our Email Service Provider (ESP). • Support the creative solution improvement of design, process or technical challenges related to email and mobile projects. • Monitor and analyse key performance metrics for email and mobile marketing and transactional campaigns, to generate insights and recommendations for campaign optimisation.

  • Yes, I was given complete responsibility over my own working and meeting deadlines. I had full responsibility of coding and sending communications.

  • I received great support and guidance, I had a full team of individuals who were there to support me and mentor me to enable my growth professionally and personally. The team went above and beyond to make me feel included and ensure I was leaving the internship with as much knowledge and skills as possible.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • There was a great company culture at Hilton, there was a balance of trust respect and open communication. We had so many recognition opportunities, including team member appreciation week, I always felt celebrated as an employee at Hilton.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my placement, I felt it was the best decision for me personally as I thought it was important to get a feel for the corporate workplace before finishing university. The year was a combination of a great life experience, as well as a great learning experience and a step towards my career after university.
