Overview
This role is dynamic and ever-changing鈥攏o two days are the same. The workload often varies depending on upcoming hotel openings and business priorities. Over the past year, my primary responsibilities have included participating in hotel consultation calls, supporting my team with a variety of operational tasks, pulling and analyzing reports, and creating internal announcements. These are just a few examples of the many projects I鈥檝e been involved in. The role requires flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to pivot quickly based on the needs of the business and the pipeline of new openings.
Skills
Yes, this placement has allowed to gain and further develop many different skills. A few to mention are, interpersonal skills, networking, change management, platform based skills etc - all of which are invaluable and I will take forward with me both professionally and personally.
Responsibilities
Yes, definitely! At the beginning it felt like a lot of responsibility considering I had never had anything like that before. But as time went on and I became more confident in what I was doing, this level of responsibility was great! It makes you feel like you're able to contribute to the team and help towards the objectives set out.
Support & Guidance
I received a great deal of support throughout my placement from all areas of the organization - from my line manager and direct team to colleagues in surrounding departments. Beyond the professional guidance, the company fostered a genuinely welcoming and supportive community, creating a positive and friendly environment that made a real difference in my experience.
Culture
Super welcoming with a great community feel. All team members are very encouraging and very willing to support you in your learning and development.
Your Impressions
This past year has been truly incredible and full of growth. I've learned so much - not just about the role, but also about myself. The experience has allowed me to develop both professionally and personally, expanding my skills and confidence. I've had the pleasure of working with some amazing people and building lasting friendships that I鈥檒l carry with me long after this placement.
