    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Quite a lot - it was a very informative day on the whole and interactive enough not to be boring by including 'business games' and scenarios where participants could vote on action or express views.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • A fair amount, my opinions were noted and whilst networking, employees seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say; unlike at other networking events I have previously attended.

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Very little - though as it was only and insight day very little was needed and so the amount given was adequate.

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I'm not sure that anything I did will affect my degree but it was certainly helpful in giving me ideas about future careers - particularly with respect to the actuarial profession.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Fairly well structured, though, as is usual with these events, it did not run to time.

    4/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Overall good - all staff were kind, helpful and informative - exactly what I wanted

    4/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Not a great deal but then again, it was only an insight DAY and so I expected it to be more informative than developmental.

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • The insight day gave me a great understanding of what working at Towers Watson would be like - particularly as there were enough newly qualified actuaries, studying actuaries and new employees to relate their own experiences.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • A fair amount - the newest employees who had previously worked at other companies gave examples of the differences between TW and other firms in the sector.

    4/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • Fairly valuable, though I still haven't firmly decided on my career path, the actuarial profession does interest me greatly.

    5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • I am a 西瓜视频 living in London and the Insight day was only a 5 minute walk from my halls so I did not need to be reimbursed for travel. We were not paid but I know others were reimbursed for travel expenses.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes - over lunch and between sessions.

    4/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Fairly good though an optional session at the end of the day could be added.

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • No - I did not ask.

    3/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • If I had a friend considering a career in consulting or actuarial work then yes I would recommend this insight day,
