Overview
As a software Engineering Intern at NatWest Gropu, I contributed to the development and testing of internal software tools. My daily tasks included writing and reviewing code with my assigned team and collborating with other interns for a project.
Skills
Yes, I significantly improved my java programming skills and becaem confident using the spring framework. I also learned more about agile development practices, version control with Git, and how to debug and test code effectively in a proffessional setting.
Responsibilities
I was given a good level of responsibility. I worked on real codebases using java and spring, handled bug fixes, contributed not new features, and was trusted to completely task independently with support from my team as well.
Support & Guidance
I recieved a great deal of support and guidance throughout my internship. My manager and team were approachable, provided regular feedback, and were always happy to answer questions. There were also helpful resources and sessions that made it easy to learn and grow.
Culture
The company culture was very welcoming and collaborative. Everyone was supportive, approachable, and open to questions. The atmosphere felt inclusive and proffessional, which made it easy to learn and contribute.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my internship. It was great learning experience, the work was intresting, and the team was very supportive. I felt like I was contibuting meaningfully while also developing my skills.
Yes
Show a strong intrest in learning and be ready to network with people. Be yourself during the interviews, ask questions, and don't worry about knowing everything, they value potential and willingness to grow.
