Overview
My role involves shadowing and assisting my manager in their everyday tasks. This includes doing Excel work with handling large amounts of data, editing presentations, and working on developing aspects of products.
Skills
I have improved on my communication, technical and teamwork skills through this internship. I have also learnt new skills such as webpage editing and designing.
Responsibilities
Yes, as an intern I have been given a lot of responsibility and opportunities to work on tangible work that will be used and published within the bank even after my internship ends.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support through my internship from my direct line manager, who provided me trainings and is responsible for overseeing my everyday work, my graduate buddy, who I talk to weekly on a casual basis and they give me personal advice on how to navigate and make the best of my internship experience, and finally, the other interns with whom I have connected with.
Culture
Everyone at the company are very friendly and welcoming, they are very open to answering any questions and helping me with any problems I am facing.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my internship experience at NatWest a lot, I have gained a real insight into corporate everyday life and I believe that the skills I have developed through this experience will carry me forward and really help me in the future.
