Overview
Rotated as part of the transaction services team for banks; updated CRM records from pipeline, client meetings and worked on an excel model to map NWG's global clearing footprint.
Skills
Improved my teamwork and communication skills, especially gained exposure to professional conduct. A massive learning area for me was understanding about correspondent and agency banking, understanding more about the UK payment schemes (CHAPS, BACS, FPS, ICS).
Responsibilities
I was definitely given opportunity to involve in the day-to-day activities and assist my manager. I felt valued and I was constantly learning. Everybody in the bank were open to catch-up and made us feel super comfortable.
Support & Guidance
Network, Network, Network!
Culture
Absolutely a pleasure to have been part of a culture that values sincerity, curiosity, and overall wellbeing.
Your Impressions
I had the best experience as my team and the intern cohort were amazing.
Yes
Be open and curious and you'll thrive in NWG atmosphere as the opportunities are endless.
