Overview
I am part of the Algorithms team. It consists of mostly coding in MATLAB.
Skills
Yes I could not code in MATLAB before and have learnt on the job. I have also had to do a lot of textbook reading and video watching to get up to speed on the project and what I will be working on.
Responsibilities
Yes I was working on something useful but not vital which was good because I was helping the team but was not directly impacting anything really important.
Support & Guidance
A lot which was really helpful. My manager was very patient and helpful especially when I was first trying to learn how to code in MATLAB. He also clearly answered any questions I had about anything.
Culture
Everyone was very friendly and chatty which was really helpful.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my internship and felt very integrated into the company even though I was here for a short period of time.
Yes
Just be chatty and friendly and that they should definitely apply
