Overview
Supporting campaign and bid progression from the start until contract award. Everyday is different. From writing documents, to supporting technical team, to conducting country research, meeting with internal teams. I have supported on 3 international campaigns and have been responsible for my own sub-transfer campaigns as well.
Skills
I have improved my networking skills and increased my presentation and public speaking skills. I also received training from the Lean Sigma Six program and achieved my Yellow Belt. This is training based on quality and lean production and work ethic.
Responsibilities
Yes. Towards the end of my placement I was given many opportunities to show and practice the skills I had learned and developed and was given responsibilities as well to show this.
Support & Guidance
My line manager was so supportive and available everyday to answer any questions and support with my work. My technical coordinator was also amazing at offering support when I needed it. There was more support available but I did not feel I needed to access it. Everyone I spoke to was helpful, kind and understanding when I had questions.
Culture
Very inclusive and open. Atmosphere was hard to judge because mainly a remote role.
Your Impressions
I loved it. I have completed meaningful work, made friends, learnt new things, developed skills and gained so much real world experience that I never knew I could.
Yes
Be yourself. You don't need a technical background but it does come in handy so be prepared to learn a lot.
