Overview
Level up with WTW was a two-day insight programme designed to develop foundational professional skills and provide an understanding of WTW's culture and operations. Day 1 focused on problem-solving, inclusion, leadership insights and networking opportunities, including a panel session with former participants along with a social activity. Day 2 centred around client excellence, interview preparation using the STAR method and personal branding. The programme concluded with a mini careers fair with several lines of business.
Skills
Several of the sessions were very helpful in allowing me to develop my technical abilities, particularly with networking and interviews. The advice received was extremely valuable with the interactive nature of the programme ensuring that I could apply what I learned in real time, receive constructive feedback and build confidence in a supportive environment.
Business Insight
It provided me with a clearer picture of how different teams contribute to WTW鈥檚 continued success and allowed me to identify areas that align with my strengths and interests. Hearing directly from employees in various roles supplied me with a profound understanding of the day-to-day work and career progression opportunities within the company.
Culture
The company representatives were all extremely friendly and approachable, always willing to offer support and answer any questions I had. The atmosphere felt very welcoming and collaborative, with everyone firmly committed to ensuring the experience would be as informative and engaging as possible. It was evident to me that WTW fosters a very positive, inclusive and open-minded culture.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight from start to finish.
Yes
I would suggest carrying out extensive research into WTW's values, culture and business areas to help demonstrate genuine interest, particularly in an interview situation. I would also recommend aligning your application to match the expectations of the role and the company. At the same time, it is important to be yourself as authenticity is greatly valued at WTW. Also, enthusiasm, curiosity and a clear eagerness to learn and improve can all leave a very strong impression.
