Overview
Varied role, good opportunities for development. First 3 months were settling in, getting to know the culture, networking. First 6 months was getting to know the role and whats expected of you. 9-12 months was about branching out to other sectors/ clusters and gaining opportunities from them as well as your task manager.
Skills
Developed creativity, communication and technological skills (operating GenAI assistants, Microsoft Office proficiency, client tender submission portals)
Responsibilities
Responsibility grew as I settled into my role. After the 6 month mark was where I started to work on client-facing projects and felt more corporate responsibility as a result.
Support & Guidance
Friendly culture, my task manager was extremely busy (which sometimes meant support lacked). I still managed to learn from others around me, and other partners/associates in the business.
Culture
Hard-working but friendly. Good balance of work/life at an intern/graduate level, but (from what I observed in upper management) not so much evidence of this in senior positions.
Your Impressions
It provided me with key soft and technological skills that will help me land a great graduate job when I leave university.
Yes
Don't be afraid to be yourself, and speak with others- on the group interview especially. Stand out, be unique, and ask for feedback (even if scary). That way, you will know what to improve.
