Overview
I would create pipeline reports to inform partners and associate partners of Pipeline and utilisation data. I would also support with ad hoc tasks and reports when necessary, such as reports on financial data for a particular quarter or time period. I also supported giveback to support the IBM community. I also was involved with various projects and bids linked to high profile clients of IBM.
Skills
I have developed various skills such as hard skills like excel, Powerpoint and prompt engineering due to the experiences I have have had at IBM. Furthermore, IBM have enabled me to develop soft skills such as Presenting, networking and time management.
Responsibilities
I would say at times I was given a strong amount of responsibility that enabled me to learn, exceeding my expectations prior to starting the placement.
Support & Guidance
I did always have people to go to at the company for support and guidance. There were always people from a variety of levels of seniority willing to support me, even if they did not have to and did not know me well.
Culture
It was very friendly, the majority of people were very willing to give up their time to meet me and support each other. It was much friendlier than I would expect from a large international company. I have built some meaningful connections during my time here,
Your Impressions
I did enjoy it a lot. I enjoyed the ability it gave me to learn about the consulting industry and corporate environment within the UK. There were also plenty of opportunities to socialise with other people at IBM, which furthered the extent to which it was enjoyable.
