Overview
My role involves monitoring liquidity metrics, looking at foreign exchange rates and what changes in those mean for the bank, stress testing different scenarios.
Skills
yes, team members across the various risk functions really take the time and teach their knowledge. I learned new skills in excel and PowerBI
Responsibilities
yes, it of course depends on the initiative every intern takes. But I have been given responsibilities which allow me to really make an impact in my team.
Support & Guidance
The entire team was really helpful and supportive, answering all the questions and explaining the background.
Culture
I think the work culture at UBS is very unique, it deeply roots in their behaviors and pillars. It is a very inclusive, friendly and supportive culture.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my internship a lot because it really allowed me to dive into different topics on risk. I was able to talk to many collegues and learn from them.
Yes
Be well prepared for the interviews. Once you started working, be curious and ask questions, everyone in the team is more than happy to explain what they are doing. Just make notes of it and try to make as much of the time as you can.
