Overview
I am an intern in the Real Estate, Hospitality, Construction and Marine team. My client is a construction company. I updated a couple of files, including the meeting minutes and Letter of Representation. I also went onto a couple of client meetings.
Skills
I learned some accounting and audit related concepts, and strengthened my excel skills
Responsibilities
Since this is only a one-month intern, I was doing the more basic 'admin' works, such as uploading files. But I do feel like when I had many meetings to go to and at the same time was given some tasks, I really need to manage my time effectively.
Support & Guidance
My team is very helpful and responsive! I sit right next to them, so that every time I have a question, I can just go to them and they will explain in great detail
Culture
People are nice and friendly, on Tuesday afternoon there is a well-being walk around the London Bridge (where the office is) and on Friday there is a fun quiz
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it very much. My team is really chill and I get to meet a lot of new people, both seniors and interns. I went on a few coffee chats and gained more insight into the industry / day to day role
Yes
Be prepared for the video interview, they are mostly situation based questions. Unlike other companies, EY has the online test (OT) and video interview (VI) all together, which is really long and you would feel exhausted when you get to the end.
