The role involved shadowing my team, joining meetings and meeting the client. For tangible work, I had to assist in the creation of information packs to be used as part of a change management programme. I also took the opportunity to reach out and connect with many full time employees, from partner level down, and I learnt a lot from these conversations.

I've definitely developed my analytical skills, attention to detail and confidence. The company was brilliant at spending time focusing on our development, what we wanted to get from the internship and exposing us to as many different business areas as possible.

Way more than I was expecting, but at a manageable capacity. The company wants you to have the best experience possible so they will give you a level of responsibility that is manageable for you.

A lot. We were all assigned a buddy and a counsellor, which both of mine were brilliant. I had daily check in calls with my buddy and weekly ones with my counsellor to see my progress but also ensure I was happy and comfortable. The managers on my engagement were also warm, friendly people who felt very approachable.

Amazing. There is so much opportunity to get involved in so many different areas, be it sporting teams, CSR events, social days etc. It felt very energising and you can tell the company have a lot to offer socially.

I loved it, and I hope to return. It exceeded my expectations, and also taught me that Big4 perception is a bit different to reality. Of course it is hard work but there is genuine care at EY and that was really reflected in my experience. I think for someone at the start of their career, I couldn't recommend the company enough and have had a very positive experience.
