Overview
I have a placement task within a specific Data and Analytics team at the company, I am also tasked with an intern project between all interns at my office within Data and Analytics, I also get time to do self-led learning in the afternoons.
Skills
I have completed 2 certifications, multiple courses on online learning programs, I have learnt SQL from scratch (no prior knowledge), I have also learnt about machine learning and improved my python skills.
Responsibilities
I was given tasks within my placement team and within the intern project. The task load was not overwhelming, but enough to keep me working throughout the entire day.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support from my line manager and buddy, but also from multiple members of the team my placement was in - who would contact me each day to check up on how I was doing and set up multiple calls to teach me different skills specific to their jobs as well as my placement work.
Culture
The company culture is really healthy, and the atmosphere was more laid back compared to other companies within the financial sector - which is something I really liked about the role.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my placement.
Yes
