Support & Guidance
I was well supported by both my team and a comprehensive learning and development framework. From day one, my colleagues provided hands-on guidance, walking me through core systems, sharing sourcing strategies, and offering constant feedback that built my confidence. Regular catch-ups and team debriefs created a culture where I felt comfortable asking questions and learning from experienced recruiters. Alongside this, I benefited from structured L&D courses that deepened my knowledge of compliance, candidate engagement, and recruitment best practices. These sessions weren鈥檛 just box-ticking exercises鈥攖hey were genuinely interactive, giving me practical tools I could apply immediately. Together, this blend of mentoring and formal training made sure I wasn鈥檛 just doing the job鈥擨 was growing in it.
Culture
The culture within my team was incredibly friendly and supportive, which made a huge difference as I settled into a new environment. From day one, everyone went out of their way to be welcoming and approachable鈥攖here was always someone willing to answer a question, offer a bit of advice, or simply check in to see how I was doing. That sense of camaraderie helped me gain confidence and gradually come out of my shell.
