Overview
On a daily basis, you communicate with stakeholders regarding key updates, new initiatives, and distinguish a proactive strategy. Additionally, you will create numerous email marketing to the UK&I on annual campaigns, good news, and directors' updates. Stakeholder's are in constant contact regarding new banners and any other assets they would like e.g., Pride month, UK&I Sales Day's etc.
Skills
I have learnt new technical skills including how to use Salesforce confidently, Asana, and SharePoint. I have also consolidated my communication skills from keeping stakeholders up to date on projects. Project management is a key skill I gained from managing all projects via Asana.
Responsibilities
Yes, I had the ability to showcase my ideas on how to improve certain functions which where later implemented.
Support & Guidance
I was provided support throughout my internship from my team and from other teams in my department.
Culture
Although the company culture showcased passion, the general atmosphere and morale was very low due to major changes internally.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my placement due to the employees and my team, however my role was quite repetitive with little room for growth. I did not like how my team moved departments, my role was advertised as marketing however after 9 months my team was moved. Additionally, due to major restructuring, my team has been let go - causing me to manage the whole team alone. This affected my level of enjoyment majorly, and not what I expected at all.

Please be mindful that Hays are going through major restructuring so employee morale, along with job security is low. I have witnessed a high turnover of employees which can affect your structure of work/team. On a positive, the people at Hays are very friendly and make the whole experience worth while.
