Overview
Speaking to a range of candidates who are looking for work. Speaking to clients day to day to ensure you are able to place the sourced candidates and build rapport. Completing compliance for placed candidates and filling in spreadsheets to track fees.
Skills
Confidence, social skills and persistence all massively grow in your year doing recruitment as these are all tested day to day.
Responsibilities
There was times were I wished I had been given more responsibility by my manager. Towards the end I was allowed to run the desk by myself which progressed my skills.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support during my time. However, I wish I was managed slightly better and was having meetings with my manager to look at my progress and see how I could have improved.
Culture
Really social company, great people around you. really enjoyed this aspect of my placement year.
Your Impressions
There were certain parts of my internship I really enjoyed including the client side of the business. However, there were also aspects at times that became quite stressful and draining.
Yes
Being confident is the most important thing, also just be yourself this industry isn't for everyone and you shouldn't change the way you work to get into a company like this as it may not work out long term.
