Overview
Lots of communication with people throughout the business. Working on lots of different interesting and challenging tasks to do with the vehicles, using mechanical and learned knowledge in fast faced environments.
Skills
Yes, massively. All of the engineers are extremely talented and are very willing to teach you whatever you want to know as long as you ask. There are so many opportunities to develop your personal self and knowledge.
Responsibilities
Yes. I was eased into the role, however, once they know you are competent they will immediately give you real responsibility that is directly related to the development of what the team is working on.
Support & Guidance
I was immediately given a graduate mentor, and was told there are also applications for other in work mentors. You can also get an Imeche mentor to aid with your chartership. Support and guidance is definitely not running low.
Culture
My personal team is colloquial and friendly. You don't feel as though you have a 'boss' particularly. The company always has something going on in the street and celebrates all religious holidays with the upmost enthusiasm.
Your Impressions
I have absolutely loved this year. I really don't want to leave at all I've had so much fun and made lifelong friends.
Yes
Be yourself. They don't want some corporate person with no personality. They want people with new ideas, to change how things are seen. Be your true self and you are much more likely to get the position you want!
