Overview
Working in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team. Helping with the planning of events, making online resources, being part of the filming for video assets, and attending training sessions to assist.
Skills
Have more confidence for opportunities now. Know how to interact with business partners and other companies in meetings. Improved on a lot of other skills including communication, time management, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
Yes. I was trusted with a lot of tasks of various levels of importance
Support & Guidance
I got a lot of support from my managers and team so I didn't really need to use the careers team.
Culture
I expected it to be more rigid than it was. It seems really corporate from the outside but everyone is very kind and happy to help. The actual procedures and ways to get things approved is very rigid however. Overall, a good atmosphere.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed it and don't feel like I wasted a year.
Yes
Don't make the application process more difficult than it needs to be. For the assessment centre, keep it simple and concise
