Overview
Completion of simulations for the automation of the press lines, interactions with suppliers and contractors, business presentations to higherups within Stamping, Completion of Undergraduate days under early careers.
Skills
Skills Developed: Confidence, Teamwork, Engineering, Problem Solving, Coding, CAD, Controls, Creativity, Leadership.
Responsibilities
Yes i was put in charge of my own projects which included me interacting with outside suppliers for solutions with very little input from my managers.
Support & Guidance
I received good support from my managers throughout the placement. Failing support from the management you can always fall back onto the early careers team who were always happy to help.
Culture
Very good work culture especially for younger employees such as myself with many amenities given to the employees.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it very much overall. Only a few down periods over the year i was here. Made many connections and friends during my time at JLR making it significantly worth it including the skills given and decent salary earned.
Yes
Go in with an open mindset for new skills and tasks you may have no experience in. Always network as much as you can.
