This includes; customer meetings, negotiating joint business plans, working on both short and long-term projects to improve our presence in store, presenting at monthly business reviews, pitching new listings, organising promotional plans, managing the P&L, and planning financial forecasts.
Skills
Yes: excel and IT skills, negotiation, presentation, networking, communication and problem solving
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of responsibility, I was solely managing 2 accounts which gave me the opportunity to get involved in every aspect of account managing
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of help and guidance from my manager and other members of my team, I was also appointed a buddy on the grad scheme to offer further support
Culture
The culture is incredible, everyone is very friendly and happy to help and there are lots of clubs/groups that you can join for extra networking outside of your team
Your Impressions
I loved my placement, I learnt a lot and significantly improved throughout my time at Unilever. I also met some amazing people and really enjoyed the social aspect!
Yes
Be yourself, and be eager to learn! Nobody on placement has a huge amount of experience before they join but you learn a huge amount in a very small amount of time. Sign up to as many extra activities as you can and make the most of all the social opportunities.
