Support & Guidance
I had an amazing manager who was incredibly supportive and kind. She kept me on track and tried her best to keep me busy during my placement despite a company wide restructuring. Sadly my manager was changed to a new grad who did not really know what he was doing and could not delegate work but tried his best.
Culture
Overall, almost everyone was really friendly, kind and easy to ask questions to. There were dedicated employee event teams and even wider team planned lots of team bonding and general social activities. Honestly an overall lovely bunch
Your Impressions
I did enjoy it quite a bit. I liked the social aspect a lot and the opportunity to meet new people. However, the role itself felt like it did not really aid my development. I was expecting something more technical and with more responsibility but I did not get that due to the restructure. Everyone was scrambling to organise themselves and their team and I think in a way my role got lost in the noise. Overall a good placement for someone who enjoys a heavily business facing role and is fine creating comms and media for staff but not a role I wish to build my career on.

Be very certain about what role you're going into and lower expectations. For a tech role, there is very little hands on work with tech and more an understanding of tech that is needed to communicate effectively with business. You act as a middleman between the actual programmers and developers and the business as a whole, with heavy load on your communication skills and media building. If you're happy with that this role works well for you. You don't need amazing grade but you need to be outgoing, good at communication and very motivated for a similar role.
