  • As an Intern Global Assistant Brand Manager at Unilever, I support the global marketing team in developing and executing brand strategies across multiple markets. My day-to-day work involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency and alignment, while also adapting campaigns to meet local market needs. I assist in managing global projects, tracking timelines, and coordinating with agencies and internal stakeholders. A key part of my role includes conducting market and competitor analysis to inform strategic decisions and support innovation. I also help monitor brand performance through data analysis and reporting, contributing insights that drive growth. Additionally, I support the creation and adaptation of marketing assets, ensuring they reflect the brand鈥檚 identity and resonate with consumers globally. This internship has given me valuable exposure to global brand management, strategic thinking, and the importance of collaboration in a fast-paced, consumer-focused environment.

  • During my internship as a Global Assistant Brand Manager at Unilever, I鈥檝e significantly developed both my technical and soft skills. I鈥檝e deepened my understanding of brand strategy, consumer insights, and global campaign execution. Working with cross-functional teams has strengthened my communication and collaboration skills, especially in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. I鈥檝e also enhanced my analytical abilities through market research and performance tracking, learning how to interpret data to inform strategic decisions. Additionally, I鈥檝e gained hands-on experience with tools like Nielsen, Power BI, and digital asset management platforms, which has improved my technical proficiency. I鈥檝e also learned to manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly, and contribute creatively to brand storytelling. This experience has not only expanded my marketing knowledge but also boosted my confidence in presenting ideas and taking initiative within a global team.

  • Yes, I was given a good level of responsibility during my internship. I managed key tasks within global campaigns, led smaller workstreams, and contributed insights in team meetings, which helped build my confidence and gave me a real sense of ownership in a fast-paced, global marketing environment.

  • During my internship, I initially received strong support and guidance, which helped me settle into the role and understand expectations. However, midway through, there was a change in management due to team restructuring, which led to a temporary dip in direct supervision. Despite this, I adapted by taking more initiative, seeking feedback proactively, and leaning on other team members for support. This experience helped me grow more independent and confident in managing tasks and navigating challenges in a dynamic environment.

Despite the fast-paced environment, colleagues were approachable and supportive, creating a positive and empowering atmosphere. While the change in management brought some adjustment, the overall culture encouraged autonomy and learning. I felt trusted to contribute meaningfully, and the global exposure made the experience both professionally enriching and personally inspiring.

I appreciated the exposure to diverse teams and real-world projects, which challenged me to grow both professionally and personally. Despite some changes in management, I felt empowered to take initiative and contribute meaningfully. The experience confirmed my passion for marketing and strengthened my desire to pursue a career in this field.
