    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • The role itself is not fixed, but I work alot using Agile, so I attend stand up meetings and work in 2 week sprints, I also take on projects which could include improving quality or creating a process for a vehicle or paint application. I work closely with other teams such as plant launch teams and engineering teams.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company has an incredible people centred focus which was new to me. There are also a lot of opportunities to grow outside of your day job, such as the Team Improvement Circle (TIC) and many others. There's many networks to get involved in which reminds of how Universities often have many societies. Overall, you can tell that the company focuses much on personal growth as well as professional.

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my Placement. Although I had a rough start due to lack of responsibility, it's taught me a lot about myself and how I can bring my best self to work. My technical knowledge has increased as well as my soft skills; being the only unexperienced person in my team was humbling- but the confidence I have gained Is great and I will Carry the same confidence into my final year.
