  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Communicating with customer teams about current testing status in the rigs. Prepearing and scripting tests on automation software. Troubleshooting problems when testing is not running as expected.

  • Several new skills developed that wouldn't have been the case at University. Includes, hands on experience with hardware and learning new test automation software. Also had chance to develop exsiting skills such as CAD

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Throughout the year I was given more and more resposability until I was conducting my own testing for customer teams with minimal support.

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I worked closely with other engineers to grow and develop skills. I also got multiple opportunities to go on training courses off-site to get the neccersary qualifications and learning to perform in my role.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company culture at JLR is has been really good through-out the year and is constantly looking for ways to improve. there is always something going on onsite and you can take time to go and join proffesional networks. It is also a place where everyone helps eachother out including lending equipment and expertise.
