Overview
I worked on Unilver.com making changes and managing content, working with different stakeholder to maintain our reputation as a company through external facing channels. I also, managed content sharing and translating news articles across our 50+ websites. It was a lot of computer work and managing business as usual tasks and request from stakeholders.
Skills
Time management and efficiency got better, my excel skills got better as I was required to use good analytics and looker studios for data collection, general emailing and communication got better, stakeholder management got better too.
Responsibilities
Yes, I would say I was! A member of my team changed roles mid year which meant I had to step up in a short amount of time and take on more tasks and responsibilities.
Support & Guidance
A good amount! I was able to ask my line manager questions when required and I understand what was required of me.
Culture
Good overall, everyone was very hard working and time sensitive. My team had a lot of trust to deliver individually. There was an unprecedented amount fo change in one year which was quite tough as someone new to the corporate world but thankfully, my team wasn鈥檛 too affected in the end so it worked out.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my placement and I鈥檝e very grateful for what I have learnt over the past year. That said, I鈥檇 be curious to see how I鈥檇 fit into a people facing and creative role like marketing.
Yes
Don鈥檛 just apply to a role for the sake of it, apply to somewhere you have a passion in. It鈥檒l make a big difference in going the entra mile. It鈥檒l come to you naturally to want to really understand the backbone of your team and what they really do
