Overview
I am a financial performance analyst working within the Foods business unit of Unilever. Most days will be a combination of meetings with the finance team, speaking with brand leads from other departments, independent work which could be solo projects or tasks to help other members of the team. Everyday is completely different though
Skills
Throughout my placement, I鈥檝e developed both technical and interpersonal skills whilst having to up skill myself on all of Unilever鈥檚 specific systems and general financial tools and terminology. I have also been able to become very technical winning excel which will help in any future role I have
Responsibilities
From the outset, my role carried meaningful responsibility, which steadily increased as I demonstrated my capability to manage more complex tasks and increased workloads. Over the past 12 months, I鈥檝e led initiatives that enhanced our team鈥檚 efficiency and improved monthly processes; driving measurable impact across the wider business group
Support & Guidance
I received a great deal. I had a great team around me, that consisted of different work levels who were all always happy to help me or speak to me about personal development etc

The culture was great, everybody is very friendly and helpful

I have really enjoyed my placement, it has been an amazing opportunity which has provided me a comprehensive understanding of both the corporate world and finance partnering
