Overview
On a day to day basis you would be assisting customers with their rental experience while also delivering and collecting vehicles for our corporate clients. In terms of dealing with customers it's making sure that they are completely satisfied with our service and also trying to make sure they cover their vehicle in case of any accidents during their trip so they can avoid paying a large excess
Skills
I have learnt a wide variety of skills which will be directly transferable into other roles such as sales, service, logistical planning, resilience, communication, crisis management and many more essential skills. No day is the same in the branch so you do get a wide variety of skills to learn from the role
Responsibilities
I was given responsibility in many key areas of the business as within a branch you have captains for different tasks such as fleet health, service score, spending and more. As a result of this each employee is engaged with different areas of the business with the aim of boosting their branch to the best it can be.
Support & Guidance
There was support where ever I needed it typically this would be from my manager however this was also found through the mentor programs or the friendly environment from the company so you could ask other managers or area managers if you were ever uncertain or a bit lost.
Culture
Our branches atmosphere was very friendly and everyone got along quite well everyone had a similar objective to try and improve the branch as best as we could. Some days things feel a little rushed or stressful but it's just the nature of the job as some days you will have exponentially more to do than other days.
Your Impressions
I really liked my time at the company. This was because of the strong bonds you build to one another while working in close proximity as everyone's pushing to improve the business, it creates a widely encompassing environment that gives you a strong sense of purpose.
Yes
Make sure to reach out to those who are more experienced or particularly excelling in any area you are struggling in as typically they will have tips and little tricks you can use to greatly benefit you.
