    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I am part of the team that manage the performance analytics of our supply chain, this includes upkeep of our data model, building reports with PowerBI and case-by-case analysis. Additionally I have involvement in operational efficiency projects across the supply chain, from supplier to customer and everything in between. Often there are a lot of internal meetings with stakeholders, customers, worldwide teams. Occasionally there have been domestic trips to other sites.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I felt I was given autonomy from the beginning, this was a project where I was able to develop our KPI reporting. By doing so, I familiarized myself with the data available and the tools used. Following on from this, I was involved with senior management projects, daily check-ins, analysis and execution. I felt I was responsible for some important operations and enjoyed the challenge associated.

  • I was lucky to have a very attentive manager/mentor, who not only focused on my professional develop but also my pastoral matters. Additionally, the team I worked within, were very patient and provided guidance.

  • Bring your personality to the interviews, understand what the company does and where their products are present. The job requires a level of passion but will give a lot back. Have a keen willing to learn attitude.
