Overview
Using OBIEE to load reports to assist in assisting my team to convey information to their designated customers in order to ensure communication is being perceived clearly and focusing on mitigating unnecessary wasted time. In addition, I communicate to different plants across the globe, relaying information of our Engines and Genset production times to those who require it. I've helped on the launch of the Cummins apparel project.
Skills
Working in COM has enabled me to develop my communication and time management skills. Not all days are the same requiring you to be adaptable to scenarios where customers or other internal Cummins employees require data from you. These skills have help a lot to ensure I am on top of my work while still being able to multitask and help others around the office with anything IT relevant.
Responsibilities
I believe I was giving the right amount of responsibility for a placement 西瓜视频. The work wasn't overwhelming and I was able to proceed everything within a reasonable amount of time as I was shadowed by the previous 西瓜视频 allowing me to learn first hand on how to operate certain databases while also being able to be taught where I have gone wrong and learning from my mistakes.
Support & Guidance
Never during my time working at Cummins have I not received support or guidance when I was in need of help. Everyone is very welcoming and open to helping each other whether they're busy or not. My managers were extremely reluctant and vocal on helping me when I didn't know a certain process or would assist with any questions disputed by customers that I couldn't answer.
Culture
Cummins has always prioritized company culture and shows within the COM team. It feels like a big family when working in the office and everyone shows a great sense of humor. The general atmosphere around the plant is great too. I've heard a lot of employees saying great things about working here and can be seen as a vast amount of individuals have stayed working here for a long time.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed being able to be involved in multiple projects across Cummins. I was able to experience a wide variety of different roles and understand more about the Cummins structure. This resulted in me being able to meet a lot more people which helped to further expand my knowledge on roles and their responsibility. In addition, I appreciated the flexibility in the time you have to come in, this made work more enjoyable.
Yes
Be open to opportunities and jump on them when the time comes, it opens a vast amount of new information for you to grasp and helps in creating ever lasting relationships between peers. Additionally, speak up if you need help or believe a process can be improved on. It is always better to ask questions then stay silent in the dark. If you don't understand ask!!
