Overview
My role involves doing various functions and day to day tasks that make up the supply chain. Some involve digital tasks such as processing orders and verifying supplier details. Whilst other physical tasks involve maintaining the quality board and posting purchase invoices
Skills
I have learnt to use excel, SAP and salesforce software. I have also gained presentation skills and analytical skills when looking for patterns in the supply chain
Responsibilities
The responsibility i was given was increased over time. I had the opportunity to take on new tasks at my own will and was able to increase my workload if i felt confident i鈥檇 be able to manage it
Support & Guidance
I had access to a line manager, HR manager, team manager and supervisors who I were able to ask for help from with various things. I had lots of support
Culture
Culture was very work oriented but was also supportive. There was a culture of skills enrichment and internal growth through pursuing higher roles or gaining external qualifications
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my placement considerably as I wasn鈥檛 doing repetitive tasks. I had the opportunity to try new things and was rotated into four different teams which all taught me varied skills
