  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Working in the Personal Care Global Quality team means joining meetings with market quality teams all over the world. I create quality performance reports monthly and quarterly for the different quality programs. Presenting performance reviews to quality teams.

  • I have learnt the skill of strategic thinking and applying this to focus on the important things as working in a global quality team means there is not enough time or resource to tackle everything. I have also been able to work on my confidence and presentation skills.

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was given the responsibility of creating and presenting the performance scorecard against the KPIs for the business group. This was then shared with the leadership executive teams meaning it was my responsibility to ensure it was credible

  • I had a lot of support and guidance from my line manager. He was very good at starting basic but also providing support whilst letting me get stuck in to the work.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • initially it can be challenging to collaborate with people in the business as its such a large company and my role especially meant working with teams all over the world. People were often too busy and wouldn't reply to Teams messages and emails, but as the placement went on, this improved

  • I really enjoyed my placement as I was given the opportunity to fully immerse myself in the business. You are treated as a colleague not an intern which is very nice.
