Overview
My role sits across both external and internal forms of communication. Tasks range from supporting with different department campaigns to managing our press office inbox. Other tasks include sending responses to journalist queries and creating digital art for use across the screens in our UK Offices.
Skills
I have learnt many new skills whilst being at Unilever and improved many of my existing skills also. I have drastically improved my time management and prioritisation skills, and I have developed new skills in Microsoft Office Platforms as well as my communication skills.
Responsibilities
Yes, I am currently leading on two large communications projects which will involved hundreds of employees, and I managed our Christmas giveaways and supported with a 700 employee in-person event.
Support & Guidance
I was given lots of support when I needed it and all of the future careers staff were responsive and extremely helpful.
Culture
Since there was a new CEO and uncertain job security for many when I first joined, the atmosphere felt quite uneasy for a few months, however, after time it was exciting and employees were engaged.
Your Impressions
I extremely enjoyed my placement and it have given me invaluable experience for my future.
Yes
Its a tough process but a rewarding one, you have to be willing to give your all and think outside the box.
