Overview
First day was virtual with breakouts with the specific business line which were particularly insightful. Second day was in person in the Edinburgh office which provided the opportunity to network with EY employees across all levels of seniority and business lines which was particularly enjoyable and great for building my professional network.
Skills
I have strengthened my collaborative skills through the sustainability based case study. I have also developed my knowledge of strategy consulting and transaction advisory, as well as learning more about the welcoming culture at EY.
Business Insight
It was very useful to learn about the different business lines and more so the sub business lines within strategy and transactions at EY. It has particularly helped me clarify that in fact it is strategy consulting where my passion lies. Learning about the culture at EY and how willing the people are to help has also confirmed that these is a firm I would love to be a part of.
Culture
The culture at EY was fantastic, people were willing to help, questions were encouraged and everyone had the time to answer. Beyond that EY employees were introducing themselves to us at lunch making the networking a smooth process.
Your Impressions
I particularly enjoyed this insight due to just how friendly and passionate the people at EY are about their careers.
Yes
Definitely apply, the programme was eye opening and the conversion opportunity is a fantastic chance at starting a longstanding career with an impressive firm such as EY.
