The Role
I had a wide variety of work to do during my internship which made it enjoyable and interesting. I was made to feel welcome by my colleagues and was lucky enough to go to a few social events with my coworkers.
I recieved feedback on my work and positive comments about the tasks I had completed.
I had weekly meetings with my line manager to discuss my progress and all tasks were explained clearly to me.
It was only on a few occasions that I had to ask around for work as I had completed all my tasks and in these instances work was given to me quickly and explained clearly.
I was given tasks which stretched me but all my work was checked thoroughly by a colleague.
I have gained confidence in presenting which will help both in my degree and in my future working life. I also gained skills in excel which will be very useful in many aspects of my life in the future.
The Company
I was able to have fun and got along with my colleagues well. However there was a professional atmosphere in the office which is important in the working environment.
Training days were well organised and our main tasks were outlined to us at the start of the internship.
I feel like I learned a lot during my internship and my colleagues put a lot of time into training me and helping me to develop my skills and the skills required for my work.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
I have been offered a job following my internship.
The Culture
I was invited to a few events including barbecues, a rounders tournament and a leaving lunch with my colleagues and fellow interns, all of which I greatly enjoyed.
Reigate is a fairly expensive place to live but as I live near to the office I was able to stay at home which reduced costs.
There are a few pubs and one club in Reigate.
Yes, I was invited to a number of social events outside of work.
