The Role
I enjoyed my placement, the people at the office made me feel very welcome and the work was varied and interesting. However a little more training prior to starting in the office would have been useful as there were times I felt very out of my depth. The placement also felt a little bit like a 6 week job interview and I was always under pressure to impress.
I felt reasonably valued by my colleagues. I was involved in lots of different things and given reasonably challenging work to do. I felt like I was actually doing something useful as opposed to just proof reading or doing research. Everyone was very approachable and more than happy to answer any question I had
To begin with I was very quiet, there was very little for me to do. However, the work load picked up. My final week was very busy, and I had lots of deadlines around the same time.
