The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement with Hays. I couldn't think of a better place to work.
One thing I have loved about this placement, is that you aren't treated as an intern. From day one you are treated as though you are a permanent member of staff and you feel valued within your team.
Managers within Hays are extremely supportive. Both my managers constantly give me guidance and support with all the tasks you must complete. They make sure your hard work is recognised and have incentives in order to drive you to the best of your ability.
There are periods in which your desk can be slightly quiet due to changes in the market, but these are incredibly rare. As soon as you sit down at your desk in a morning its, go, go, go. You constantly have things to whether its work within the office or meeting clients outside of the office. You also have KPI's and targets to meet, so activity always needs to be high.
I personally ran and managed one of our contract desks within my placement, as well as being a supporting consultant to my manager to assist him within busy periods.
I have developed skills which are invaluable. I have been able to gain experience working within a real life working environment which has enabled me to gain a working knowledge of the recruitment sector. The training with Hays is to a high standard and you are provided with more than enough relavent information to succeed within your desk. The training and experience i have recieved has changed my perception to life outside of work and has made me appreciate that valuable work experience is just as, if not more so important than your education. Hand in hand they work perfectly. This has made me want to work harder at university and use the skills i have gained here with Hays into my University life.
The Company
The office in Preston is full of life. Every person wants to be here, which makes spending time at work much more exciting and enjoyable
Very well organised. I had specific intern training and criteria to meet.
The company invest in you as they would a permanent employee. I spent time training in Manchester, as well as being sent to London for a week to have additional training with the trainers. They also give you full compliance training in office to make sure your work is seamless. They invest their all into all consultants, including interns.

Very! If you return to the organisation you recieve a bonus. Also, their promotion scheme is fast and therefore if you succeed and perform well, you are able to be promoted and get a high increase in salary.
The Culture
There was no other placement 西瓜视频s with Hays but the social scene within the Preston Office is fantastic.
Not too high at all.
Really good - regular nights out with all the team.
Yes. When the company does well, we have been able to go out to events such as Go Karting alongside meals and drinks out.
