About You
It was a very interesting programme with useful interactive sessions that provided a better insight into what the individual division of the firm do.
Focus on individuals was low during the programme, not a lot of networking opportunities, but all questions that were relevant were answered.
There wasn't much guided needed, but during the interactive sessions employees were available to consult.
Some of the things I learned about auditing may definitely appear in my modules over the next few years.
The Company
Although it was rather short it did cover the main areas of the business and a choice was given to ensure you didn't have to listen to talks of divisions that were not relevant at all.
It was a positive atmosphere, which was good especially because a lot of the day was just listening and taking notes.
No training was requirement, but there was a skills session in the end to help with interviews and assessment centres coming up in the future.
The insight given was valuable and seemed genuine.
Given that different representatives form different areas but also difference levels of their career were present a fairly good overall view was provided.
I definitely saw some things that I don't want to do in the future that I thought may actually be quite good and the reverse was true as well.
Everything Else
Travel Expenses up to a certain amount were reimbursed.
There were interactive sessions with employees, but the opportunities for actual networking were limited.
This could have been improved would there have been a bit more time. One day just isn't a lot.
No.
Yes, although just the one day isn't enough to get a good insight into the industry, so multiple insight programmes from different firms would be needed.
