Overview
As a Valuations Summer Intern, my role involved supporting the valuation team in assessing the financial worth of assets, companies, and investment portfolios. This required a blend of analytical skills, financial modeling, and market research to assist in delivering accurate and insightful valuation reports.
Skills
Financial Modelling & Valuation Techniques Analytical & Research Skills Excel & Data Handling Communication & Presentation Teamwork & Professionalism
Responsibilities
We supported on real projects however, to a very limited extent but I believe this is reasonable given the short length of the internship. So not given much responsibility but I would not have expected too.
Support & Guidance
We were given training to learn the methods of valuation however, these did sometimes feel a bit unprepared, and maybe could have been ordered slightly better but the training themselves were very good.
Culture
It was a very supportive and welcoming atmosphere and not as corporate as others have suggested.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed it I gained a lot of valuable experience and met a lot of great people I only wish it was a bit longer so I could have got more involved.
Yes
Make sure to prepare a lot for interviews but go in with an open mind don't be afraid to ask questions in your interview.
