Overview
Started off with plenty of trainings, then moved to support on various research projects related to the insurance industry
Skills
I definitely improved on my Microsoft Excel skills, and also learned a lot about technical actuarial skills during the introductory trainings.
Responsibilities
Yes
Support & Guidance
I was assigned a 'buddy' for the duration of my internship as well as a people manager - both of whom were extremely friendly and willing to answer any questions I had. Everyone else in the team was also really helpful and supportive.
Culture
Everyone was super friendly and willing to help and support the interns as much as possible, even if we were only there for 5 weeks. There is no strict hierarchy in the team and the hot-desking system makes interacting with everyone much easier.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my internship very much and am looking forward to converting my internship to a permanent graduate role
Yes
Ask all the questions you have - even if the questions feel irrelevant or 'dumb', everyone has been in that sort of position before and will be willing to help
