Skills
During my audit internship at Forvis Mazars, I improved my Excel skills by working with financial data and learned to use the firm’s audit-specific tools for documentation and analysis.
Responsibilities
Yes. During my internship, I was trusted with real responsibilities that helped me feel like part of the team. I joined client calls, which gave me a clearer picture of how audits are carried out. I also got to write and send emails to clients, which helped me build my confidence and improve how I communicate in a professional setting.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support and guidance throughout my internship. Everyone on the team was approachable and always willing to help whenever I had questions about the work I was doing. I was also assigned a buddy who I could reach out to for anything.
Culture
The company culture was very people-centric—everyone was approachable and genuinely supportive. From day one, the environment felt warm and welcoming, which made it easy to settle in and feel like part of the team. One of the things I appreciated most was the open communication: there was a real sense of equality, and I felt comfortable speaking to colleagues at all levels, including the partners.

If you're applying to Forvis Mazars, my biggest advice is to be yourself during the interviews. Let your personality come through and show genuine interest in the role. Make sure to research both the audit industry and the company thoroughly beforehand.
