I work with different people in my team who give me tasks throughout the day. I have worked on tax computations and gotten the chance to shadow client meetings. Day-to-day I am in the office meeting with different team members who teach me how to work on different tasks within corporate tax.

I have developed my communication and teamwork skills by working within the tax team. Working with people one on one has helped introduce me to different types of people and how to learn form them. I have also developed professional skills in the workplace such as how to communicate with IT and behave suitably in an office environment.

I was given sufficient responsibility where I was able to help teammates with client work whilst also being able to work alongside them being taught how to complete this first.

I received a lot of support, particularly from my 'buddy' who was always on hand to help and from other members of the team who were always ready to help out when I asked.

The general atmosphere was one of hard-work, dedication and friendliness. I loved the diverse culture of welcoming people who made you feel like you are supported and making a difference.

I enjoyed my internship to a great extent because my whole team was extremely friendly and welcoming, on hand to help whenever I needed it. It was particularly enjoyable because I was able to get involved with real client work.

It is worth applying so you can experience in depth work experience in your chosen sector. I would advise people to have an open mind and not be afraid to ask questions as this is how I best improved.
