Overview
My role as a Business Consultant at EY has been dynamic and multifaceted, requiring a blend of analytical, strategic, and interpersonal skills to deliver value to clients. I would typically start the day with scheduled meetings or calls with clients/team to discuss project updates, gather requirements, or present findings and being to engage in discussions to understand client challenges and objectives. I would then usually monitor project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that tasks are completed on schedule and spend a good amount of time trying to coordinate with team members to assign responsibilities and track progress.
Skills
During my placement I have learnt to use various software tools and platforms for data analysis, project management, and presentation creation (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, data visualization tools).Gain exposure to emerging technologies relevant to consulting, such as AI, machine learning, and digital transformation.
Responsibilities
I would say at times I was given quite a lot of responsibility during my placement. My responsibility was focused particularly around managing timelines of client deliverables and ensuring the team were on track to meet deadlines.
