Overview
Assist the production team with general and project specific support. This includes preparing production paperwork, creating lists and trackers, attending project meetings and taking notes, logging and storing drives, sending crew contracts and NDAs, checking and manage credits, replying to general production emails. Other tasks include helping BALA with invoices and royalty payments.
Skills
I have learnt many new skills especially when it comes to production specific application software (FinalDraft, Movie Magic, and Excel) and developed my understanding of high-end TV production.
Responsibilities
I was given a lot more responsibility as I progressed through my internship. This is mainly due to growing my confident in what I was handling as I built my experience, and being able to work well with my team so I could provide more help.
Support & Guidance
I received a great amount of support in my internship from my manager, team, colleagues, HR, and people I've met from the wider business thanks to the many employee resource groups available at NBCUniversal. The guidance I have received have helped me a lot and helped shape who I am today. At no point have I ever felt like I couldn't talk to anyone as everyone seems happy to help.
Culture
The company culture is warm and welcoming, fast paced but easygoing, and such a great place to be! NBCUniversal have strong values that are implemented throughout the company and can be seen in my colleagues which include integrity, respect, inclusion, and giving back.
Your Impressions
I have really enjoyed my time at NBCUniversal interning at one of their world-leading production companies, Carnival Films. I have learnt so much from my work and my colleagues, but also from the extra curricular events and groups available at the company. Being part of a massive company has also allowed me to meet and make meaningful connections. I will really miss being an intern at this brilliant company!
Yes
Just go for it! I really couldn't recommend applying to an internship at NBCUniversal enough. There is something for everyone here, and you will meet so many other interns (our cohort is big... around 100), and connect with people in the wider business. You will learn a lot here and it's a great place to be! Apply and show your passion!
